Cultivation Cap and Eligible Applicants List - Carpinteria
County Code Chapter 50 Section 50-7 , Limits on Cannabis Business Licenses, allows for NO MORE THAN 186 acres of cannabis cultivation, nurseries, and microbusinesses with cultivation to be licensed at any one time within the boundaries of Area A and Area B of the Carpinteria Agricultural Overlay District as defined in County Ordinance 4529.
County Planning & Development has received applications of Cannabis Cultivation Land Use Entitlement for more than 186 acres.
A Land Use Entitlement does not guarantee the issuance of a Cannabis Business License.
The table below shows all operators on the Eligible Business Applicants List: Carpinteria Agricultural Overlay District as of 8/2/21 . All operators on this list have obtained an approved Land Use Entitlement, submitted a business license application that has been deemed complete and paid all required fees/deposits. Inclusion on the Eligible Business Applicants List does not guarantee the issuance of a Cannabis Business License. Inclusion on the Eligible Business Applicants List before a license has been issued reserves the acreage listed in the Acreage Requested column for the applicant, pending the issuance of a business license. If a license is issued, the applicant will secure their requested acreage (listed in the Acreage Requested column), consistent with the acreage allocated in their issued Business License.
Applicants who have applied for a Cannabis Cultivation Land Use Entitlement, but have either not yet been granted an approved permit, or have not yet applied for a business license and had their application deemed complete are not included on this list.
While the cultivation cap has not yet been reached, as reflected in the Eligible Business Applicants List, acres applied for in the Cannabis Cultivation Land Use Entitlement process exceed the cultivation cap.
